Area 51

Area 51
A look into the Unknown

Rated G for General

Area 51 has been getting alot of attention in real life lately.  From people discussing conspiracy theories,  to others on Facebook threatening to storm the place (Yeah, best of luck with that!).
I decided today to do a little adventuring and check out the place in a much safer environment and to tell you the truth, much like i suspect of the real place, it was a tad disappointing.

I expecting underground bunkers with military personal surrounding alien creatures, I expected to see UFO's, and site crashes, what i got was two themes that blended poorly together (come on there is a Spanish styled house right next to the area 51 site), a bunch of signs saying warning, a UFO dinner, and two little green men.

Needless to say, if Facebook users storm the real area 51, they are going to see alot more action then I did in this place in second life, but I'll let my pictures tell the story and allow you to be the judge.

Winters Hallow

Winters Hallow

Rated : M for Moderate

Landmark: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Auron/20/220/22

Owner: Stella Mahogany

Size : Estate/homestead

You take the tp and land in a little Christmas themed cafe, surrounded by snow covered trees.  You are instantly transported into the magic and wonder of winter.

When you walk out of the cafe along the snow covered pathway, you find yourself led out to the main road which will take you around the sim.  While walking be sure to look between and in the trees for all the little critters that peek around to greet you.

This sim is decorated perfectly, and as you walk you can almost feel the chill of the snow because it is so perfectly done.  The sim provides many different locations for the perfect wintery photo session.

I adore how the creator of the sim combined old winter items that we have seen on many sims over the seasons, with newer up to date items to create a whole new experience and to make the sim seem like something you've never seen before.

I can't even begin to say how much i truly adored this sim.  It wasn't over crowded and yet at the same time it wasn't overly decorated.  It was/is simply perfect.  The only thing i wasn't a fan of was the sims wind light settings, finding that it was too dark for the snowy wonderland.

I truly enjoyed my visit to the sim and will definitely be back to take more photos.  This is the perfect location for those of you wanting to capture winter photos and would make the perfect setting to Christmas cards.

Cold Ash

Landmark: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Cold%20Ash/173/197/35

When you first land in Cold Ash you might be a little surprised, this isn't your typical photographic sim and might seem a little odd to be placed on this list.  You land in the middle of a Mens Clothing store, which is the lands namesake.  Cold Ash offers realistic mesh clothing, for TMP, Signature, and Slink Physique mesh bodies.  The clothing texture is beautifully done, very fashionable, and reasonably priced.

What caught my eye though, and what puts this place on my list, is what you see when you step out of the store.  The land surround the store is decorated in a water side industrial area, that keeps with the rugged theme of the store and its target customer.

Walk along the train tracks to tour the sim and its surrounding rugged beauty and find numerous back drops for the perfect photo.

The place is stunningly put together and throughout the area gives you that industrial, urban feeling as well as offering a few places to just sit and enjoy the scenery.

Overall I truly enjoyed exploring this sim and the perfection of the creators decorating.  Amazing job and definitely worth visiting.

Ok how do you not love a sim that surprises you with a dancing storm trooper the moment you show up?

Now the first thing i noticed about this sim and didn't like was that from its landing point there is no real pathways in which to walk around the island, you're kind of just dropping down the side of the snowy mountain to the ground below.  That said it is well worth the fall.  Windlight settings i found perfect for the sim so defiantly give them a try when you begin snapping your pictures.

The sim is set up with a Wintery country side theme that in some places is really quite stunning, though there are places on the sim i find scattered, unorganized and too spacious.

for example this snow man sits in the middle of a frozen lake with caravans way off in the distance.

Now the little spots that are put together are stunning and defiantly worth of taking pictures of

and they sim does have many interactive places to take some great selfies, including a photo booth at the start.

Over all though i have to say I found the sim looking incomplete and a little too spacious.  Still worth a visit though.

Meadow Rose

Meadow Rose

Rated: A for Adult

Landmark: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Forever%20Neverland/25/97/23

(D/s, BDSM, Ponygirl, Romance)

With a simple click of a button you find yourself instantly transported into a fairytale.  Surrounded by thick full foliage, little stone houses scatter the sim with fires lit in their fireplaces, just begging you to come inside.  Dirt roads lead you through the sims that make up Meadow Rose, and through the trees that line the waterside.  Make sure to set your windlight to the region setting to enjoy the full effect from the creative mind of Rye Falmer.

Rich in color the sims offer many beautiful locations to sit and take in the view, and the landscape begs for the photographers lense to attempt to capture it.  Even your ears drown in the beauty of this place as you ear the bees, sheep and birds that flock around the sim.

If you are looking for a place to relax, to photograph, or to spend time with someone special, this is definitely the place for you.

Mirage Part 2 - The Rooms-

Mirage

Rated: A for Adult

Owner: Nica Minaj (Nicasio.ansar)

Landmark:  http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Mirage/8/204/24

Mirage!  The name alone leaves you with the feeling of something sensual and mysterious, and this mirage i can tell you, doesn't fail to live up to that.  When you land you feel like you are in a little Italian village.  The little Cafe, cobble stoned streets, the stone walls that surround you, you can't help but feel yourself transported to a whole new part of the world.  Its when you look along the stone fencing that you begin to notice the doors that line it, and upon looking at the doors you can't help but see the titles attached to them.

The first set of doors offers you themes.  Aquarium, Class, Garage, Church, Park, and Hotel. A simple step through the door finds you transported to an area of your choosing.  Now these Themed areas aren't merely rooms, but builds and lands so perfectly decorated to theme that you truly feel like you've been taken to a completely different sim.  No matter what themed room you choose, nearly every object is scripted with adult poses, that allow you to truly enjoy the scenery and the moment!
(don't believe that then check out previous post for our 10 000 Views taken in Isa's room at the Mirage)

 The Hotel
 The Hotel

The second set of doors offer temptation to the Domme and Dom alike.  BDSM themed you will find doors marked Dungeon, Hotel, and Shibari.  Now one of the things i did appreciate about this area, and i have learned is not so easy to find, is that the poses here cater to the fdom as well as the mdom................so ladies get your whips ready!

Our next set of doors gives us the At Home inspired offering the Apartment, Dorm, and Man Cave.  As with the rooms above all are fully interactive and stunningly decorated, making it perfect for photographs, thats if you can keep your mind on the camera and not the seductive poses possible.

 The Dorm

The Apartment

Our last two sets of doors offers us Isa's Apartment and Boat House, as well as an Urban Decay theme space.

 The Class Room

 The Park

Now as far as i could tell the rooms don't have an indicator light stating they are in use, and I in typical me fashion, of course walked in on a couple.  Long story short, if you're shy or not wanting to be caught, might want to rethink here as it does carry that small risk.

Over all its an amazing sim, brilliantly decorated and definitely on my lists of sims to visit again.  I hope you all enjoy it as much as I did.
